Subject: Nice whodunit
Some parts of the plot are questionable (for example: a private investigator giving orders to policemen and issuing warrants????) but I liked this movie and Ginger Rogers is lovely.

Subject: There must be a secret panel here somewhere!
A loopy who-done-it with a cart load of plot holes - that is if you could load a cart with holes. Those who had been guests at a bizarre family dinner are mysteriously murdered thirteen years later. It features Ginger Rogers in a dual role (technically that's a spoiler) and a black-hooded marauder. There are some snappy lines, and it's fun seeing "Plan 9's" Lyle Talbot as the leading man. Almost everything that's wrong with this off-beat mystery can be laid at the director's feet. He must have been in a terrific hurry to get this one in the can. Nevertheless it's an entertaining hour that holds your interest, and closes with a pre-code sight gag that would be verboten a few years later. The soft print has a few glitch-caused dropouts that aren't a major problem.

Subject: Not one to savour
This is a rather tedious comedy murder mystery with a fairly obvious denouement. An early outing for Ginger Rogers and featuring Poverty Row king Lyle Talbot.
Strictly for viewing only by die hard fans of the genre.

Good movie about a murders take take place in a house that 13 guest were invited to dinner. The 13th guest never came. The owner of the house left his money to the 13th guest and no one knows who it is.

Subject: Who's bringing the Scooby Snax?
Fun film which I would venture to guess inspired an early episode of Scooby Doo, Where Are You? (which was originally planned as a primetime show for adults) Kooky relatives with a will, an old dark house, the hooded villian unmasked at the end...All that's missing is those meddling kids.

Subject: A nice wee film
Quite entertaining. A good quality print. Clear sound. Some decent performances - Ginger Rogers in particular. Worth a download - the 515M download comes out pretty clear. The screwball family scenes were particularly good. Yes, a nice wee film.

Subject: the thirteenth level of fun
I just finished watching the thirteenth guest.
It was fun, interesting, and had me quessing until the end. Also interesting is how the death
of relatives of which I will not tell you, is done NAAAAAAAAAA. Just watch it and you'll be quessing too.

Made on a shoestring and it's still a good movie.
Ginger is always fun, Lyle Talbot isn't. But all the rest is fun.
